LAKELAND, FL – July 8, 2025
Kings Hammer FC Sun City’s USL W League squad closed out an impressive 2025 season, finishing 4th in the table and demonstrating tremendous growth both on and off the pitch. Now in our third year in the league, the team has proven to be a force to be reckoned with—blending talent, determination, and a strong team culture to make their mark on the women’s pre-professional landscape from right here in Lakeland, Florida.
From thrilling road wins to gritty home performances, the squad—led by Coach Ash Hill—consistently challenged top-tier competition and displayed the character and chemistry that define the Kings Hammer standard. But this season wasn’t just about results—it was about continuing to build a platform for the next generation of female athletes within our club.
Team captain Ysa Novak reflected on the season:
“This season was something special. With a brand-new coaching staff coming in just two weeks before the season, there was a lot of uncertainty — but they created a professional, competitive environment from day one. We couldn’t have asked for a better group to lead us.
We had a strong core of returners and added some incredible new faces. The talent was high, but more importantly, the culture we built was even stronger. Everyone bought in and pushed each other in the right way.
We competed with some of the best teams in the league and finished 4th — a big step forward from previous years and something to be proud of.”

These players were difference-makers throughout the season and continue to raise the bar for what it means to compete at the highest level in our women’s pathway.
Paving the Way for the Next Generation
One of the most impactful aspects of our USL W League program is the pathway it provides for younger female athletes. This season, players from across our youth teams attended matches, trained alongside the senior team during practices, and witnessed firsthand what it takes to compete at the next level.
In a shining example of this mentorship in action, two of our own youth players—2008 Ryleigh McInnes and 2009 Natalie Wood—were welcomed into the women’s environment and taken under the wing of the senior players. Their growth and confidence flourished, thanks to the guidance, encouragement, and support they received.
“Our USL W League team is more than a roster—it’s a dream in motion for every girl in our club,” said Coach Ash Hill. “They’ve inspired and mentored, and they’ve shown our players that the sky’s the limit.”
As we reflect on a season filled with growth, milestones, and unforgettable moments, we look ahead with pride and excitement. The foundation has been laid, and the future of female soccer at Kings Hammer FC Sun City is brighter than ever.
Thank you to our players, coaches, families, and fans for an incredible 2025 season. We can’t wait for what’s next.
